The McLachlan Medical Writing Mission
My mission is to evaluate and synthesize important scientific findings and create evidence- based materials to empower health care professionals to provide patients with the best possible care.
McLachlan Medical Writing LLC aims to deliver top quality publications related materials, educational content for health care providers, and medical communications strategy support.
I seek to partner with my clients, who are visionaries and leaders in medical science, to accurately communicate their revolutionary ideas to the world. I invest the time to gain a deep understanding of my clients’ goals and of the scientific, medical, and regulatory landscape in which each project is embedded. This allows me to deliver clear, compelling writing that exceeds client expectations and ultimately betters patient outcomes.
Caroline McLachlan, PhD
Hello, I’m Caroline, founder of McLachlan Medical Writing LLC! I am deeply passionate about medicine, patient care, and scientific writing. Prior to launching McLachlan Medical Writing LLC, I graduated with my Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Neurobiology from Boston University. During my doctoral studies, I investigated the interplay of gene expression and neuroplasticity in the adult brain. While I still love covering neurology and psychiatry projects, I have since expanded my focus and write about a wide array of disease states and therapeutic areas.
This year, I am also serving as the Program Director for the New England Chapter of the American Medical Writers Association (AMWA). I am also the President-Elect of New England AMWA and am looking forward to serving as the President next year.
Earlier in my career, I earned my Master of Philosophy (MPhil) degree in Medical Science from the University of Cambridge in England and my Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Biotechnology from Syracuse University in upstate New York.
When I’m not writing, you can usually find me sipping coffee or outside enjoying the beautiful New England seasons with my family.
